-When you’ve arrived home from work, change to more casual clothing before starting dinner or eating dinner. This simple move can save your good clothing from stains. But if there are stains, please see my basic stain guide.

-Be sure to always follow the care instructions for every clothing item.

-Purchase well-made classic clothing. These types will normally last for quite sometime.

-If a rip, loose button, or other injuries are noticeable, mend them immediately.

-There are some items that do not need to go the dry cleaners. Be sure to know which ones. This can save you a great deal.

-Store garments properly. Take the time to fold what should be folded and hang what should be hung. Before the end of each season, be sure to clean all clothing worn before storing them away.
